New buildings cheapen in Azerbaijan

The price per square meter on the primary market of real estate in Baku reduced by 1.6 percent to $897 in January compared to $912 dollars in December, the public organization 'Participants of property market' said.

In January, a significant decline in prices was observed in Yasamal district of Baku at 2,5 percent. The prices did not increase in any of the districts of Baku.

The average area of apartments under construction in January amounted to 122.3 square meters compared to 122.5 square meters.

The average index of floors in new buildings in January was 15,2. The average index of blocks in buildings under construction amounted to 2,4 during this period.

The most part of the portfolio of Baku's primary housing market in January hit new buildings in Yasamal, Khatai and Nasimi regions of Baku, which accounted for 65.9 percent of the total portfolio market.

A share of one-room apartments in the portfolio of the primary housing market in January was 17.9 percent, two-room - 30,1 percent, three-room - 38,8 percent, four-room - 11,8 percent, five-room - 1,4 percent.
