Price cutting on Baku's secondary housing market affects amount of proposals

In January, prices on the secondary housing market reduced by 0.9 percent to $1,175 per square meter in Baku compared to $1,186 in December 2009, the public organization 'Participants of property market' said.

In January, prices did not increase on the secondary housing market in Baku. Significant reduction in prices was observed in Yasamal district of Baku at 1.7 percent.

The share of apartments offered on the market below the average price amounted to 59,3 percent of the total portfolio market. The share of new buildings on the secondary market increased by 0,7 percent to 59,8 percent.

The average price of a room in January amounted to $45,648 dollars, the average price of an apartment - $114,548.

Proposals on the secondary housing market reduced by 0.2 percent in January. More than 7,000 apartments were proposed on the market. Most of the market portfolio (79.9 percent) were flats in Yasamal, Nasimi, Narimanov and Khatai districts of Baku.
