Khorasan Razavi exports at $1b

Some 1.3 million tons of goods worth over $1b have been exported in the 11-month period ended February 19 via Khorasan Razavi province, northeastern Iran.

The amount shows a 23 percent increase in terms of value and 74 percent rise in terms of volume in comparison to the same period previous year, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported on Monday.

Saffron, foodstuff, plastic and melamine products, cement, biscuits, confectionary and chocolate were the main exported items.

China, Japan, Central Asian countries, the Persian Gulf littoral states, and Europe were the major destinations.
