Vienna to host Austria-Azerbaijan trade-investment summit

In 2011, Vienna will host the Austria-Azerbaijan Trade and Investment Summit to be held with the support of Austria-Azerbaijan Commerce Chamber (ATAZ), ATAZ President Alon Shklarek said at the news conference held in TREND AMI's press center today.

In 2011, Vienna will host the Austria-Azerbaijan Trade and Investment Summit to be held with the support of Austria-Azerbaijan Commerce Chamber (ATAZ), ATAZ President Alon Shklarek said at the news conference held in TREND AMI's press center today.

"In 2011, it is expected to hold an Investment Forum to strengthen regional cooperation between Austria and Azerbaijan," he added.

The summit is expected to attract about 100- 250 Central European and Azerbaijani companies. ATAZ and other private business partners in Austria and Azerbaijan will organize the event.

Today, 30 Austrian companies, including  Austrian Airlines, OMV and Strabag, operate in Azerbaijan and ATAZ's activities will further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries, ATAZ honorary president and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria Fuad Ismayilov said. "Presently, trade turnover between the two countries is about 100 million euros, which does not correspond to the potential that exists today between the countries," he added.
