Azerbaijan’s goods export to CIS countries exceeded import in Jan-Feb

In January-February Azerbaijan imported goods worth $0,236 mln or 33.57 percent of the total amount of the country’s import from the CIS countries compared to the same of 2009, the State Customs Committee said March 20.

In January-February Azerbaijan imported goods worth $0,236 mln or 33.57  percent of the total amount of the country's import from the CIS countries compared to the same of 2009, the State Customs Committee said March 20.

Grain-crops (14.84 percent of total import), vehicles (9.02 percent), electrical machinery and equipment (10.19 percent) and charcoal (8.45 percent), ferrous metallurgy products (about 7 per cent) were imported to Azerbaijan from CIS countries.

The amount of export of Azerbaijani goods to CIS countries hit $0.365 billion (11.35 percent of total export).

Mineral fuels, oil products, bituminous minerals (44.4 percent of total exports), vessels (33 percent), animal and vegetable fats (15.92 percent), sugar and confectionery products (2.66 percent), fruits (2.4 percent) and other were mainly exported to CIS countries.

There is black ink worth $129million with CIS countries on import-export transactions.
