A loan agreement was signed between the Turkmen government and the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation in Ashgabat.

Representatives of the Japanese Finance Corporation, the NEXI national export credit agency and Kawasaki Plant Systems and Sojitz Corporation Japanese companies attended the ceremony.

Ashgabat and Tokyo have agreed to allocate a loan totaling more than 45 billion yen for the insurance of NEXI, Trend reported.

The agency deals with financing basic payments for insurance and loans while conducting construction operations, supplying equipment and bringing plants producing ammonia and urea to full-operating power in the town of Mary in eastern Turkmenistan.

Kawasaki Plant Systems and Sojitz Corporation are implementing the project.
