Zabol cement factory, in southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province, was officially inaugurated on Thursday.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Industries and Mines Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian attended the inauguration ceremony, the Mehr News Agency reported.
The unit came on stream at the cost of 1,550 billion rials (some $155 million), funded by the private sector.
The project aims at producing 3,400 tons of cement per day and creating jobs for 350 persons.
