A Baku-London flight was rescheduled earlier today after UK airports closed down due to a new Icelandic volcanic ash cloud, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) reported.

The flight was scheduled to depart from Baku at 12:55 p.m. Baku time, but was moved to 3:00 p.m., the company reported.

The flight will arrive to London at 10:50 p.m. Baku time.

Many airports in England and Ireland have closed down as the cloud drifted over the UK May 16.

As dangerous ash clouds from an Icelandic volcano drift across Europe, authorities are closing down airports in England and Northern Ireland.

London airports are open, but the unrelenting clouds threaten to move further south over the next 24 hours and could affect Gatwick and Heathrow.

Volcanic ashes have yet to impose the closure of the Dublin airport.
