Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received chairman of the Chinese Central Bank Zhou Xiaochuan, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The President stresed the successful development of relations between states. He said that Azerbaijan intends to expand its relations with China in all spheres.
Stressing that despite the global financial crisis, Azerbaijan and China showed good economic growth, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of mutual exchange of views on joint initiatives in the field of economic cooperation.
The President expressed confidence that the visit of Chairman of the Chinese Central Bank to Azerbaijan will determine new areas of cooperation between countries and give good results.
Zhou Xiaochuan said that one of the main purposes of his visit is to learn the position of President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the reforms undertaken by the international financial system, which will be discussed soon at G-20 meeting.
Chairman of the Chinese Central Bank expressed confidence that his visit to Azerbaijan will be effective.
