Over 660 kilograms of expired products revealed in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economic Development conducted regular monitoring of the consumer market and destroyed about 663 kilograms of expired products, the statement said.

The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economic Development conducted regular monitoring of the consumer market and destroyed about 663 kilograms of expired products, the statement said.

Monitoring were conducted in Nasimi, Yasamal, Narimanov, Sabunchu and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as Ganja, Siyazan, Barda and Qabala cities and  Geranboy, Ujar and Fizuli regions.

Expired products - sausages and pastries, butter, milk and dairy products, canned foods, flour products, alcoholic and soft drinks.

During the monitoring the state service's employee revealed two tons of cement, which don't meet regulatory specifications on the facility for the sale of construction materials, located in the Narimanov district of Baku.

Measures will be applied towards violators of consumer rights in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences.
