Georgia’s National Anti-Corruption Strategy approved

A national anti-corruption strategy of Georgia was approved by President of Mikheil Saakashvili’s decree. The Government was instructed to develop and submit to the President a plan for implementing this strategy till September 1, 2010.

A national anti-corruption strategy of Georgia was approved by President of Mikheil Saakashvili's decree. The Government was instructed to develop and submit to the President a plan for implementing this strategy till September 1, 2010.

The document, during development of which many meetings and consultations were held, takes into account the recommendations of international organizations. Non-governmental organizations were actively involved in developing the strategy.

The Georgian President's decree № 550 signed June 24 2005 on approving the national anti-corruption strategy became invalid by the same decree.
