Georgia imports over 60 percent of medicines from India

According to the results of studies on the pharmaceutical market, held by the Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen, Georgia imports 60.4 percent of imported medicines from India.

According to the results of studies on the pharmaceutical market, held by the Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen, Georgia imports 60.4 percent of imported medicines from India.

According to the organization in ten countries - importers of medicines include China - 13.8 per cent, Germany - 4.7 per cent, Italy - 4.1 per cent, Latvia - 2.8 per cent, Spain - 2.8 per cent, Belgium - 2 , 4 per cent, South Korea - 1.6 per cent, Ukraine - 1.6 per cent, the U.S. - 1.4 percent.

"The illusion was allegations that the medicines are manufactured in Georgia. Most of them are imported from India and China in ready-made. They are just packed in Georgia. The Aversi Company leads in import of the unpackaged drugs, the Association said.

In total amount of import of medicines 66.3 percent belongs to "Aversi" ", GMP - 20 percent, "Gamma" - 3,3 percent, "Biopharm" - 2,2 percent, "Tbilhimfarm" - 2 percent, "Neofarm" - 1, 4 percent and 1.1 percent - "Batfarm" and "Popoli".
