During the regular monitoring of the consumer market the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development seized and destroyed 586 kilograms of expired products, the ministry said.
Expired products, sausage, canned products, oil, milk and dairy products, fish products, flour products, soft drinks, baby food, alcoholic beverages and others were confiscated.
Monitoring were conducted in Sabail, Yasamal, Binagadi and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as in Ganja, Mingachevir, Barda, Gabala, Sheki, Fuzuli, Guba and Tovuz regions, as well as in Absheron region.
Administrative measures will be applied towards physical and legal entities - perpetrators of consumer rights.
