Azerbaijan suspends large amount of low quality ice-cream

The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Economic Development Ministry during conducting monitoring in the AER company revealed discrepancy expiration date indicated on the packaging of ice cream, regulatory requirements, lack of certificates for produced ice cream, and lack of expiration dates of wafers used in the production of ice cream, the Ministry said.
Discrepancies were found on the following types of ice cream produced by the company: "Flamingo", "Oasis," "Oreshek", "Chernoe Zoloto", "Lipetskiy", "Magnat ", "Commandor", "Dasha", "Belie Noci" "Mitya", "Bogatir", "Perezaqruzka", "Plombir," "Lyubimim," "Piramida," "Lakomka", "Magnuliya", "Belochka," "Snegurochka ", "Kornella", "Zemaletta", "Sphinx", "Anata "," Pticiy moloko","Futik","Vernissaj","Orel","Aysberg"," Klimanka "," Zimushko-zima".
In this regard, a sale of 19.3 tons of finished product, stored in a warehouse of the company has been suspended and the company was instructed to withdraw products from retail markets. Samples of all types of ice cream were taken to carry out laboratory research.
Also 5.6 tons of packaging material with a specified shelf life on it, contrary to normative requirements, was seized.
