Total foreign debt of Georgia hit $8,790.5 million as of March 31, the National Bank of Georgia reported.
Of the total amount $2912.54 million (33.1%) fell to public sector debt, $879.2 million (10.0%) - National Bank debt, $1456.1 million (16.6%) - Banking sector debt, $1310.9 million (14.9%) - other sector's debt and $2231.8 million (25.4%) - inter-company lending.
A 95.0 percent of the country's foreign debt is denominated in foreign currency.
The country's total foreign debt increased by $77.5 million during the first quarter of 2010.
