About 92,286 people socially insured people were registered in the first half in the individual accounting of the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund, the fund department head Elman Babayev said.

"The number of those registered on the system of individual registration in Azerbaijan since the early 2010 increased by 5.6 percent," Babayev said.

He said that as of July 1 there are 1,732,215 socially insured people, of whom 956,293 men and 775,922 women.

The number of socially insured people hits 460,989 people, Babayev said.

He said that the number of people under 30 years, were insured under an individual account system, was 402,477, from 30-40 - 386,789 people, from 50-60 - 339,697 people, over 60 - 142,263 people.

Individual records are organizing and record keeping of the information on each insured person to provide with pension and other rights of social protection in accordance with the laws of the country.

Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev's decree on the law "Individual account in the system of state social insurance" was signed in December 2001.
