The national agency on tandards, technical regulation and metrology opened a modern laboratory. Laboratory was opened within the project of the Georgian-German cooperation "Development of quality infrastructure in Georgia with special emphasis on legal metrology".
Deputy Minister of Economy, Zurab Alavidze said that Georgia opened a modern laboratory, which is very important in terms of infrastructure quality.
"Entrepreneurs had to go abroad for adoption of standards, " deputy minister said.
The project aims to develop infrastructure corresponding to the country's priorities and requirements of the business sector. Laboratory staff held training sessions and refresher courses in Germany.
The project is based on the principle of co-financing. The government of Georgia has allocated 120,000 lari for realization of the project, and the German side - 700,000 euros.
