Iran inflation rate declines to 9.4%

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) stated that the inflation rate in the Iranian month of Khordad (ended June 21) was 9.4 percent.

This figure shows a 0.5 percent decrease in comparison to its preceding month's figure of 9.9 percent, the Islamic Republic of Iran New Network reported.

According to the governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mahmoud Bahmani the nation plans to decrease its inflation rate to 4-5 percent.

Iran's inflation rate in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2010) was 10.8 percent.
