Azerbaijan, Baku, July 6 / Trend S. Agayeva /
The Greek government has guaranteed safe rest for all Azerbaijan tourists wishing to spend a holiday in this country, the Greek Embassy in Azerbaijan said.
The Consular Section of the Greek Embassy in Azerbaijan on a daily basis continues to issue visas to Azerbaijani citizens wishing to visit the country, the statement said.
The Embassy also has clarified the issue of suspension of direct flights Baku-Chania (Crete). The project was a joint product of Greek and Azerbaijani tour operators with the support of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism and that country's embassy in Azerbaijan. Suspension of the project is not connected with "political and economic problems" in the country.
Witnesses of the real situation in Greece was a group of Azerbaijani journalists who visited the country, including the island of Crete, in early June at the invitation of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Members of Azerbaijani media in its numerous articles and video clips shared their impressions of Greece's tourism potential, which occupies one of the first lines in the list of tourist countries around the world.
