The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development seized 490 kilograms of expired goods, the ministry said.

Confectionery, sausages, canned products, oil, milk and dairy products, soft drinks, beer and other products were destroyed.

These violations of consumer rights were identified in Sabail, Yasamal, Nasimi, Surakhani (Hovsan settlement), Hazar districts of Baku, as well as Ganja, Goychay, Ter-Ter and Gusar areas.

The State Service also seized about 12,7 tons of cement, not conforming to specifications and technical documentation.

Measures will be applied towards violators in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences.

The State Service warns consumers to be careful and call: 498-15-01 and 498-15-04.
