Uzbekistan Airways to receive first of ten А-320-200 aircrafts

Uzbekistan Airways National Company will receive the first of 10 aircrafts "A-320-200", purchased from Airbus Industrie, on July16, the press-service of Airline told Trend.
According to the press service, the aircraft "A-320-220" will arrive in Tashkent tonight. In total, by the end of this year, the Uzbek Airline will receive six of the ten aircrafts "A-320-200".

In 2007-2008, Uzbekistan Airways signed contracts with Airbus Industrie to purchase 10 aircrafts "A-320-200", as well as with Boeing to purchase four aircrafts Boeing 767-300ER aircraft and two Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner.

The purchase of new aircrafts is funded at own expense of Uzbekistan Airways (10 percent of all aircraft cost), the loan from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (50 percent) and loans from foreign banks (40 percent).

According to the approved schedule, at the first phase in July-December 2010, the company will receive six aircrafts A-320-200 with engines CFM-56-5B worth $258.6 million.
At the second stage in 2012-2013, the company will receive four Boeing 767-300ER with PW 4062 engines worth $347.6 million, in the third stage - in 2013-2014 - four aircrafts A-320-200-with engines CFM-56-5B worth $190.9 million, and in July-August 2016 - two Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner aircraft with engines GENX-1B64 worth $230.4 million.

Uzbekistan Airways, the exclusive air carrier in Uzbekistan, is fully owned by the state. The fleet of the company has 18 aircrafts of western production, including 10 Boeing (five 767-300 and five 757-200), three Airbus A-310, three medium-RJ-85 and two cargo Airbus A300-600F ".
