Positive balance of Uzbek foreign trade turnover increases 1.6 times

Positive balance of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in January - June increased by 1.6 times exceeding $2.5 billion compred to the last year, the Ministry of Economy said.
Export of goods and services in the first half increased by 14.3 percent over the same period in 2009, the report said.
The volume of foreign trade turnover for six months, exports and imports has not been indicated.
According to official statistics, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in January - June 2009 increased by 5 percent - up to $10.497 billion, including export - by 2.8 percent, up to $6.034 billion, imports - by 8.2 percent, up to $4, 463 billion. The positive foreign trade balance reduced by 35.5 percent - up to $1,571 billion compared to the first half of 2008.
In 2009 a surplus of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan reduced by 42.7 percent - up to $2.333 billion compared to 2008, foreign trade turnover increased by 0.1 percent - up to $21.21 billion, the volume of exports increased by 2.4 percent - up to $11.771 billion, import reduced by 2.7 percent - up to $9.438 billion.
