Turkmenistan gets world's largest furniture machine from Germany

The world's largest furniture machine HOLZMA, installed on a private Ashgabat furniture company Aybolek, was brought to Turkmenistan from Germany, national TV channel Turkmenistan-4 reported.

"Pride of the factory is the world's largest cutting machine produced by German company HOLZMA", a report said.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov has recently visited the enterprise. He was informed of the operations performed by the machine. He saw the machine in action during the execution of a number of technologically complex operations.

A powerful machine cut furniture panels on the details of various sizes and configurations in a few minutes, according to computer program.

Factory Aybolek was built under the state program to support private business. The equipment was purchased due to its concessional loan. Several people work here. This number will increase to 150 in future.

According to the TV, the production is very wide - from the mass function to the elite furniture. Materials for the production is delivered from Europe.

"Taking into account ongoing construction and commissioning of new facilities and new social and productive sectors, the creation of such a large specialized production in Turkmenistan fully meets the demands of the day," a report said.

It is noted that Aybolek furniture having the high standards of quality will cost much cheaper than imported one on the market. It will compete with foreign producers, not yielding in design or consumer properties.
