New mill complex put into operation under Baku’s grain terminal

Mill complex was put into operation under Baku's grain terminal in Baku, Food Contract Corporation managing director on commercial issues Daulet Uvashev said.
"While all grain imported from Kazakhstan to Baku terminal remains in Azerbaijan, and is not exported to other countries, because everything is going to meet this republic's domestic needs in the grain," Uvashev said.
He said now all the grain imported to the terminal in Baku, is processed into flour of the highest sort at the new mill complex, put into operation this spring.
JV Baku grain terminal was opened April 4, 2007. Some $ 6 million has been spent to the construction of the terminal with capacity of 500,000 tons of grain a year.
Mill complex with productivity of 150,000 tons, was built on a parity basis by the Kazakh and Azerbaijani sides.
