The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during the regular monitoring of the consumer market identified, removed from sale and destroyed 579 kilograms of expired products, the ministry said.
Monitoring were conducted in Binagadi, Nizami, Yasamal districts of Baku, as well as Khudat Kurdemir, Ganja, Terter and Zagatala regions.
Expired products - sausage, pastry, butter, milk and dairy products, canned products, fish and seafood, soft drinks, beer and baby food were confiscated.
Administrative measures will be applied towards physical and legal entities - violators of consumer rights.
