The Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism today announced the hotels and hotel-type facilities operating in different regions of the country without a license.
There is a list of 56 illegally operating facilities in the regions:

About 25-50 hotels and inns are built in Azerbaijan annually. About 50 hotels will be built. There were only 96 hotels and hotel-type facilities in 2003, now their number reached 452, which means almost three-fold increase.
Over the past four years the country has built and rehabilitated 370 hotels of different categories with 30,706 rooms. About 60 hotels were built in 2009, 20 of which operated this year.
Today about 1,500 enterprises engaged in hotel and restaurant business operate in Azerbaijan. There are about 5,000 canteens in Baku now.
