The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry's State Service for Anti-Monopoly Policy and Consumer Protection is monitoring prices on bread and flour due to global price hikes on grain.
"The monitoring aims to prevent artificial increases on cereal prices in the country," the service said. "The monitoring has not yet uncovered any changes in the prices on bread."
The state service is monitoring bread and flour sales at marketplaces, and will take the relevant actions against entrepreneurs artificially raising their prices.
The price on flour has increased 25-40 percent in Kazakhstan in recent weeks.
