The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development seized 716 kilograms of expired food, the ministry said.
Pastry, sausage, butter, milk, dairy products, fish, canned foods, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer and other products were seized and destroyed.
These violations of consumer rights were identified during the monitoring carried out in Narimanov, Sabunchu, Yasamal, Nasimi districts of Baku, as well as Kurdamir, Imishli, Masalli, Ter-Ter and Khachmaz regions.
Measures will be applied in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences towards violators of consumer rights.
