The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee said that about 25.48 million tons of cargo was transported in January-July, or more by 9.22 percent compared to January-July of 2009. About 21,423 million tons of cargo falls to export and 4,057 million tons - to import.
About 179,200 tons were transported by sea, about 1,973 million tons by railway, 322,300 tons by road, 194,600 tons by air, and 18,749 million tons by pipelines.
Through sea transportation 380,200 tons of cargo were transported. About 2,790 million tons were transported by railway, about 861,900 tons by road and 11,800 tons by air.
About 5,670 million tons of cargo were transported through the territory of Azerbaijan in this period, which is 56.43 percent or 2,045 million tons more than in January-July of 2009.
About 976,900 tons of cargo were transported through Azerbaijan to Switzerland, about 2,139 million tons - to Bermuda, 290,100 tons - to Georgia, 117,500 tons - to Turkmenistan, 262,000 tons - to Tajikistan, 77,400 tons - to Turkey, 313,800 tons - to Iran, 223,600 tons - to Afghanistan, 1,071 million tons - to Italy and 123,400 to Russia.
