Great Britain's weight in amount of investments to Azerbaijan hits 44.5 percent

Great Britain continues to keep leading positions on volume of investments to Azerbaijan. Weight of the country in volume of foreign investments hit 44.5 percent in the first 7 months, state statistical committee said. British investments hit 434,300 million manat.  

In January-July, roughly 92.2 percent (900.3 million manat) of investments of foreign countries and the international organizations to the Azerbaijani economy fall on share of investors from great Britain, the USA, Japan, Norway, France, Korea and Turkey.  

The U.S investments hit 198.43 million manat (weight 20.3  percent), Japanese - 103.9 million manat (10.6 percent), Norwegian - 64.3 million manat (6.6 percent), Turkish - 57.3 million manat (5.9 percent), French - 20,300 manat (2.1 percent), Korean - 21.65 million manat (2.2 percent), UAE - 390,600 manat (0.1 percent), Saudi Arabian - 2.634 million manat (0.3 percent), Austria - 551,800 manat (0 , 1 percent), Russian - 1.94 million manat (0.2 percent), Czech - 5.07 million manat (0.5 percent), Italian - 80,400 manat, Swiss - 219,700 manat, and Luxembourgian - 3,900 manat.

The biggest volume of investments was allocated by WB to the amount of 49.9 million manat given weight of 5.1 percent.

Asian Development Bank allocated 12.53 million manat (1.3 percent) and Islamic Development Bank - 2.44 million manat (0.2 percent) to realize projects in Azerbaijan.

The official exchange rate is 0.8037 manat to $1 Aug. 14.
