The U.S. space monitoring agency agreed with the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry's data on the current crop of grain at 13.5-14.5 million tons in 2010, Agriculture Minister Akylbek Kurishbayev said during the inspection of the fields in six districts of the Akmola region.

"The country plans to collect 13.5-14.5 million tons of grain. It is worth mentioning the data made by the American aerospace monitoring agencies, where they agreed with the data on the current crop of grain," Kurishbayev said.

Earlier, the ministry reported that the country will gather the harvest at 15 million tons.

Kazakhstan will send 8 million tons of grain to export this year, Kurishbayev said.

"Of these, 4 million tons will be exported to the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan, as well as 2 million tons to the Caucasus countries, Russia and Iran," Kurishbayev said.

He added that some grain producers, who refuse to provide actual figures on the grain this year collected, will not receive subsidies from the state.

Henceforth, accounting for grain will be held in the strictest monitoring system, Kurishbayev said.
