The Uzbek Commerce and Industry Chamber (CIC) and Chinese Foreign Trade Center under the Commerce Ministry signed an agreement of cooperation. The agreement envisages cooperation among the CIC, the Center Foreign Trade and the Uzbek-Chinese Trade House.
The sides signed an agreement within the Uzbek-Chinese business forum, which was dedicated to the largest exhibition Canton Fair in the world. The business forum was held in Tashkent.

Over the past three years the Uzbek-Chinese Trade House organized a visit to Canton Fair for six groups of business people from Uzbekistan. The organizers of the exhibition hold an international business forum each time.
Canton Fair is regular exhibition, which is held Guangzhou, China, twice a year - in spring and autumn. The exhibition was founded in 1957 and it became one of the largest events in the world. The exhibition area is over 1.5 million square meters and number of participants exceeds
China takes a leading place among the trade partners of Uzbekistan. According to the official statistics, Uzbekistan's bilateral trade turnover increased by 35.8 percent - up to $2.1 billion in 2009. Uzbekistan's exports to China reached $489 million and imports from China - $1.6 billion . There are more than 300 Uzbek-Chinese enterprises, including 52 - with one hundred percent Chinese investments, in Uzbekistan.
