August 27, the head of Executive Power of Azerbaijani Sumgayit city Vagif Aliyev and the delegation of the German city of Ludwigshafen discussed a new project, carried out between the two cities, and exchanged views on issues of interest to both parties, said the city's executive power.
According to Aliyev, the friendly relations between the cities have been further strengthened over recent period, and joint projects were beneficial to both cities. According to him, with the participation of German experts, significant projects have been implemented in Sumgayit, activities in the spheres of urban development, education, health, culture and youth activities in 2002-2009 were successfully carried out.
According to the head of the delegation of the Ludwigshafen city, the technical director of public utilities of the city, Peter Lyuben, the implementation of a new project with the support of society German Technical Assistance Society (GTZ) "Support for the development of local administration in the South Caucasus" from in 2010 will develop cooperation of Germany's eight cities with South Caucasus cities.
