The III International Baku Conference of CIS member-states "Financial institutions - the basis of structural modernization of the CIS economy" will be held this year. Organizer is the CIS Financial and Banking Council. Director-General of the CIS Financial and Banking Council Pavel Nefidov invites business representatives of Commonwealth countries to participate in this landmark forum.
"The mere fact of holding such a conference for the third time testifies that a good tradition has been created. Economic, financial and banking communities of the CIS countries meet annually in the capital of Azerbaijan to discuss issues of integration of financial markets, their place in the international division of labor, as well as additional efficient tools to realize integration programs. We presume that this platform is an important tool to create and successfully develop communities of the CIS financial structures, elaborate horizontal linkages and increase efficiency of various integration projects," he said.
He said that any modernization programs can not be implemented without an effective financial support of the CIS countries' banks. "We expect that this conference will provide real preconditions for the practical realization of the modernization projects in the CIS countries", he said.
