Iran to build car assembly plant in Sudan

Saipa Automotive Manufacturing Group signed a contract to build a factory to produce its products in Sudan.

Moj news agency reported a high-ranking delegation from Sudan and the director of Saipa were present at the signing ceremony.

Nematollah Poustindouz said, "Saipa's successful presence in the Sudanese market in the past persuaded us to build a factory to produce our cars there."

"Our plan is to sell cars in Sudan and eventually launch our products in its nine neighboring countries," he noted.

According to the contract in a five year time span 35,000 various models of Saba will be built in Sudan.

Currently Saipa's cars are being sold in Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and Algeria with high customer satisfaction due to its low fuel consumption, competitive price, widespread after sales services and abundant and inexpensive spare parts.
