More than 400 kilograms of expired food products has been destroyed by the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during regular monitoring of the consumer market, the ministry said.
Expired sausages, pastry, butter, milk and dairy products, flour products, canned foods, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, baby food, flour and spices were confiscated.
Inspections were conducted in the Nizami, Sabunchu districts of Baku, as well as in the Sheki, Tovuz and Agdash regions.
Administrative measures will be applied against physical and legal entities found violating consumers' rights.
