Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 29 /Trend, I.Khalilova/

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is ready to lift the ban on country's commercial banks to make money transfers through the Contact payment system, the head of the CBA's communications department Rufat Abbasov said Wednesday.

"At a recent meeting at the Central Bank with the payment system, Contact said all objections about operations in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan had been addressed," Abbasov said. "In this regard, tomorrow a notification will be sent to banks to lift the ban on transactions through the money transfer system."

The Contact payment system stated in its report released on Wednesday that so far all the comments of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan addressed to the system have been taken into account and corrected.

"RUSSLAVBANK JSC - a clearing bank system - will conduct regular monitoring and software-technological measures to comply with the requirements of the CBA," the report said.

On Aug. 2, the CBA banned Azerbaijani banks from making international money transfers and payments via contact Contact.
