Iran's energy minister says investing problems facing Iranian companies in Lebanon will be resolved in Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's upcoming visit to Beirut, Press TV reported.

"There are some banking complications between Iran and Lebanon, which will be resolved in President Ahmadinejad's upcoming visit to Lebanon," Majid Namjoo said on Sunday.

He blamed Lebanon's "special political condition" as one of the causes of Iranian investors' setbacks in the Arab state, saying that some (individuals) do not let Iranian companies -- which are rivaling foreign firms in Lebanon -- invest in economic and industrial projects.

The Iranian energy minister also expressed the Islamic Republic's readiness to provide Lebanon with electricity.

Due to Israel's 2006 war on Lebanon, the country's economic and energy infrastructure was damaged.

The senior Iranian official announced that prior to President Ahmadinejad's trip a technical team would be dispatched to the country to examine appropriate measures for providing Lebanon with its needs concerning electricity, IRNA reported.

He went on to say that Tehran would be ready to help Beirut increase the productivity of its power plants and decrease power waste across the state.

Namjoo concluded that the Iranian government can provide Iranian companies, which are keen to make investments in Lebanon, with services including finance and incentives.

The Iranian chief executive plans to make his first official visit to Lebanon in October.

He is expected to meet with Lebanese President Michel Sleiman, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri as well as leaders of the Hezbollah resistance movement.
