The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents has made changes in the number of state standards related to the sausage and sausage products, the state Committee reported.

The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents has made changes in the number of state standards related to the sausage and sausage products, the state Committee reported.

The committee amended the state standards AZS 088-2003 "Boiled and smoked sausages. General technical conditions", AZS 100-2003 "Cooked sausages. General technical conditions", AZS 104-2003 "Half-smoked sausages. General technical conditions" and AZS 117-2004 "Sausages, small sausage and meat loaves. General technical requirements."

Taking into account the features of preservatives, which are used in recipes allowed by the Azerbaijani Health Ministry, as well as features of food additives, protective nylon and other synthetic skin, the State Committee recommends to increase the expiry date of boiled and smoked sausages up to 60 days at a relative humidity of 75-78 percent and temperature from 20 to 60 degrees Celsius, the expiry date of cooked sausages - up to 60 days at a relative humidity of 75 percent and temperatures from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, the expiry date of smoked sausages - up to 60 days at a relative humidity of 75-78 percent and temperatures from 20 to 60 degrees Celsius, the expiry date of frankfurters, sausages and meat loaves - up to 30 days at a relative humidity of 75 percent and temperatures from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
