Non-oil exports up 31%

Iran exported 28,958,000 tons of non-oil goods (excluding gas condensates) worth $12.231 billion in the first six month of current Iranian calendar year (ended September 22).

The amount shows 34.9 percent increase in terms of volume and 31.3 percent rise in terms of value in comparison to the same period previous year, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported.

China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, India, and Afghanistan were the main destinations for Iranian goods.

During the mentioned period Iran exported 32,358,000 tons of non-oil goods (including gas condensates) worth $14.448 billion which shows 23 percent increase compared to previous year's figure.

Iran imported over 23,822,000 tons of goods worth over $29.569 billion in the same time span.

The amount shows 2 percent increase in terms of volume and 24 percent rise in terms of value in comparison to the same period previous year.
