The Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA) withdrew a ban for commercial banks to transfer money via Contact money transfer system, Rashad Orujev, the head of the CBA Department of Credit Institution Supervision, said.
"We have held the talks with the representatives of the company. They admitted the shortages and explained as the technical reasons. After eliminating them, the company pledged that such incidents would not happen again. If they break their word, no doubt, their activity will be suspended. The central bank will not consider this issue again, " he said.
At present, all the comments of the Azerbaijani Central Bank were taken into account and removed, Contact money transfer system said.
"RUSSLAVBANK"(CJSC) is a clearing bank system. It will conduct the appropriate monitoring and software-engineering measures on a regular basis to comply with the requirements of the CBA," a statement said.
Azerbaijani banks were banned to transfer money via Contact according to the CBA's decision on August 2.
Orujev said that a ban, imposed on operations via other payment systems (Migom and Lider) for the same reason, remains in force.
