Three carriages of the train carrying benzene derailed on the 29th kilometer of the Baku-Guba highway were put on track in short time period, JSC Azerbaijani Railways spokesman Nadir Azmammadov told Trend.
"A little problem arose yesterday. The problem was resolved in the short time period" Azmammadov said.
According to him, derailment of three train carriages took place as a result of derailment of wheel pair. This often happens and it can not be called a serious problem, Azmammadov said.
An accident took place on the 29th kilometer of the Baku-Guba highway, on the crossing of the railway in Azerbaijan. Three carriages of the train carrying benzene to the Ethylene-Propylene Plant derailed in the H.Z.Tagiyev settlement of the Sumgait city, the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry's website reports.
No fire or leakage of benzene has been recorded. The ministry's employees have arrived at the scene and the appropriate structures were informed about the incident.
