In September, the State Migration Service (SMS) of Azerbaijan made a decision on administrative expulsion of 623 foreign nationals from the country within 48 hours, Service's public relations department reported on Wednesday.
As a result of the measures last month, 966 foreign nationals were found violating the requirements of administrative law. 112 persons were under 16 years of age, in connection with which they were not made answerable. Through fines, the residence of 105 people were legalized.
Also a decision was made to deport 126 foreign nationals from the country.
Last month, the SMS received 3,329 appeals from the foreigners and stateless persons in connection with the extension of stay in the country, issuance of a permit for permanent and temporary accommodation, admission to citizenship, restoring and denial of citizenship, as well as the definition of citizenship and refugee status, issuance and extension of individual work permit.
According to the report, the SMS has reviewed each complaint in accordance with the laws of the country and made the appropriate decision.
