A delegation of the Taxes and Finance Ministries of Azerbaijan visited Skopje to negotiate with the Foreign and Finance Ministries of Macedonia to prepare a draft convention on avoiding double taxation of income and wealth between the two countries, the Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry's newspaper 'Vergiler' reported.
The sides held successful negotiations, following which an agreement was reached on all provisions of the draft convention.
Following the talks, Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry's International Relations Department Head Ilgar Akbarli and Macedonian Finance Ministry's Tax Department Head Borce Smilevski signed a protocol.
To date, Azerbaijan has signed agreements on avoiding double taxation with 40 countries, 36 of which are already in force.
