The Turkmen General Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection at the state concern "Turkmenautoyollari" (Turkmen road), an official Turkmen source reported.
President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov criticized the organization's activities on repair, improvement and maintenance of the country's highways after receiving a report on the audit.
In this regard, Berdimuhammedov reprimanded Turkmenautoyollari Chairman Ashir Saribayev. The head of the country demanded to correct all deficiencies in the work in a month.
He also reprimanded the top officials for reducing the control over the activities supervised by the ministries and agencies, violations of order and discipline in the subordinate enterprises and organizations.
Last week, Gurbanmurad Khanguliyev was removed from the post of the Turkmen Road Transport Minister occupied for many years. He was replaced by Serdar Berkeliyev, who was acting as deputy minister.
