Georgian President promised to open railway to Akhalkalaki, which is part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project.
"Today we were in the Akhalkalaki and inspected the ongoing works there, " he said in Mtskheta, addressing the diplomats and guests at a concert on the occasion of Svetitshovloba holiday.
He singled out the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov among the guests, thanking him for his presence at a concert on the occasion of Svetitshovloba.
"I want to particularly welcome our friend, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, who is here with his family and shares our gladness," Saakashvili said.
"We implement this great project with our Azerbaijani partners' help" he said.
