The annual meeting of European Waste-to-Energy Research and Technology Council was held in Brno City of Czech Republic on October 12-14. Waste incineration plants and technologies used in this sphere, their utilization and functions were discussed during the meeting.
Representatives of "Tamiz Shahar" JSC gave detailed information about Municipal Solid Waste incineration plant which is being constructed in the City of Baku. It was informed that, the plant will be given to exploitation in 2012 and as the result of operation of the plant 231 mln kW/h electric power will be produced. As the result of the operation of the plant total bulk of wastes will be reduced 3 times and the mass will be reduced 10 times. The plant will meet the most stringent requirements of European Union in the sphere of environmental protection. The plant is being constructed in accordance with 4G technologies.
The carried out activities in the direction of improvement of waste management in the city of Baku draw attention of the participants of the meeting.
