Turkmenistan can count on German support in the way of ongoing reforms in the country and open-door policy, German President Christian Wulff's message to the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
The letter has been timed to the upcoming celebration of the nineteenth anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan (October 27).
"Germany has actively supported the state of Turkmenistan since re-gaining its independence in 1991. Germany notes the progress made by Turkmenistan since then, and stands for strengthening bilateral cooperation," said Wulff.
