Non-Life remains leader of Azerbaijani insurance market

There were many premiums on life insurance worth 666,420 manat with payments at 217,180 manat, in a structure for Life-insurance in Azerbaijan in January-September of 2010, the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry reported. Premiums on life insurance amounted to 406,040 manat with payments at 43,550 manat.

There were many premiums on life insurance worth 666,420 manat with payments at 217,180 manat, in a structure for Life-insurance in Azerbaijan in January-September of 2010, the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry reported. Premiums on life insurance amounted to 406,040 manat with payments at 43,550 manat.

Total premiums on life insurance amounted to 1,072 milion manat with payments at 260,730 manat.

Major part of Non-Life insurance falls to property insurance - premiums worth 61.98 million manat and payments worth 14.89 million manat. Individual insurance premiums hit 23.78 million manat with payments worth 13.88 million manat, liability insurance - 7.98 million manat with payments at 126,970 manat, credit insurance - 210,930 manat with payments worth 252,110 manat.

Total premiums for other kind of insurance amounted to 93.95 million manat with payments at 29.16 million manat.

The structure of compulsory insurance premiums on state individual insurance of military men hit 10.716 million manat with payments worth 4.996 million manat, fire insurance - 5.57 million manat million with payments worth 243,790 manat, public individual insurance of judicial staff - 3.05 million manat with payments at 600,530 manat, liability insurance of vehicle owners - 2.926 million manat with payments at 503,230 manat, insurance of civil servants - 109,470 manat with payments at 11,550 manat.

Total premiums for compulsory insurance for the reporting period totaled 22.94 million manat with payments at 6.37 million manat.

The total premiums of all companies operating in the country amount to 117.96 million manat, and payments - 35.79 million manat as a result of three quarters of 2010.

Total premiums decreased by 9.38 percent (130.18 million manat), payments reduced by 6.35 percent (38.22 million manat).

The official exchange rate is 0.8012 manat to $1 Oct.11.
