Azerbaijan stops selling low-quality confectionery

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development revealed that 527 kilograms of rahat lakoum called "Gunes Kardesler", produced by the enterprise and owned by Turan Gunes, were expired. The enterprise located on the Narimanov district of Baku, the state service said.

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development revealed that 527 kilograms of rahat lakoum called "Gunes Kardesler", produced by the enterprise and owned by Turan Gunes, were expired. The enterprise located on the Narimanov district of Baku, the state service said.

As a result, about 123.9 kilograms of confectionery products with expired storage, 125 kilograms of baklava of unknown origin, 2,500 units of packaging materials were revealed.

The state service suspended production and sales of rahat lakoum, baklava and pastries in the enterprise. It instructed to withdraw these products from the market.
